Seahorses Emergent Reader | Homeschool | Early Readers!

You guys loved the Octopuses Emergent Reader so much that I made another ocean-themed one this week: Seahorses!

The Big Readers Series is off to a great start--it seriously makes my heart happy to see that people are using these besides just us! It is perfect for homeschool, classrooms, and just for fun...of course, I'm a bit of a science nerd, so I totally think reading about ocean animals would be a great "just for fun" activity!  :D

SEAHORSES introduces your kiddos to some of the smallest fish around with astounding facts, fun information, and real life pictures! I hope you love it as much as we are!

We are reading these little books each day for 4 days a week. I'm designing them to take my son about 5-10 minutes to read. Some pages are quick and easy, and other pages have more challenging words, like "change," "move," "hatch," and "flutter." This provides both confidence and a chance to practice challenging digraphs.  We even had to stop for a minute and see if we could move our eyes one at a time!

The really great thing about these little books is that they are fun for all ages, not just emergent readers! My younger kids love having me read to them, and my older kids find the facts about seahorses fantastic! They would be a great addition for an Ocean Theme for any age!

And, remember not to stress about where you read! My son stands, sits, and lays in three dozen different positions during the time it takes him to read through this little emergent reader one time! It's totally okay! It's part of why we homeschool: movement helps kids stay focused! (Sidenote: I am speaking on using science to teach your kids who can't hold still next week at the ONLINE Homeschool & WAHM Conference! You can register with my affiliate link HERE, send me a note, and I will send you a free copy of my 15 Famous Science Experiments ebook!)

Anyway, grab a free copy of SEAHORSES HERE!!

And I'd love it if you shared this freebie on Facebook or Pinterest! Thank you!!
